Island Sexual Health is thrilled about today’s official announcement by the BC Ministry of Health about the upcoming expansion of our services as we transition to become a Community Health Care Centre in January 2021. While we carefully prepare for this transition with the addition and training of new staff and physical renovations to our current clinical space, we will continue to focus on the provision of only sexual health services.

Information about access to primary care will be released through this website islandsexualhealth.org in January 2021.

Please monitor this site for information as we are unable to provide more information through phone, email or text. We are not accepting external or self referrals for primary care nor wait listing potential clients at this time. Employment Opportunities will be advertised through Island Health.

Island Sexual Health would like to thank the Ministry of Health and Island Health for their support in this important investment in expansion of patient centered community health care.

Jennifer Gibson MA, is the Coordinator of Community Education Services. She is a professional sexual health educator whose knowledge, sense of humour, enthusiasm, and comfort level give her the unique ability to make sexual health education accessible and easy to relate to.
