CO-VID 19 UPDATE

****COVID-19 UPDATE****

To Island Sexual Health Patients

We have changed our clinic hours during this critical response phase:

We have closed our Quadra Street waiting room and reduced the volume of patients booked for in-person appointments. We have tele-medicine appointments available.

Our clinic will only be accessible between 9-4 pm Monday-Friday for booked appointments and supply pick up.

We will be closed Saturdays and Sundays effective March 18th, 2020. We will update hours as necessary.

Our satellite clinics (Camosun, Tsawout and Royal Bay) are CLOSED and clients of these locations are asked to call our main clinic location at 250-592-3479 to access supplies/service.

We will NOT turn away patients who need urgent or necessary care but we may ask you to see a provider from home via telemedicine, or delay your appointment if your need is not urgent.

If you currently have a cough, fever, difficulty breathing, recent out of country travel or other risk factors for COVID-19 then you are required to re-book your appointment for 2 weeks later.

If you are over the age of 60 or have chronic health issues then we recommend that you do NOT come to the clinic for the time being.

If you need to pick up birth or bleed control or other existing prescriptions, please call the clinic 250-592-3479 beforehand. We will make sure that all patients with active prescriptions have access to their medications. Once you arrive at the clinic, please follow the instructions posted on the door.

Island Sexual Health is an appointment based clinic and is NOT a testing site for COVID-19. If you are concerned about symptoms, or have questions about your risk or how to protect yourself and others, please see the Island Health website

We will continue to post all updates on this page as well as on our facebook, instagram and twitter pages.
